An Austrian Adventure

Explore the highlights of Austria on this itinerary that visits beautiful Innsbruck, Salzburg and Vienna, as well as the Bavarian Alps, Kitzbuhel and Melk. Along the way, you will see some of the most magnificent scenery that Austria has to offer.

As always, this tour can be amended to suit your group's requirements.

DAY 1 DEPARTURE FROM USA

Depart the US on your flight to Munich

DAY 2 MUNICH - GARMISCH PARTENKIRSCHEN - INNSBRUCK (2 nights)

On our way through the scenery of the Bavarian Alps, we will visit Garmisch Partenkirschen, one of the regions most charming towns. We continue to Innsbruck in the Austrian Tyrol.

DAY 3 INNSBRUCK

We will take a walking tour of the picturesque historic heart of Innsbruck, the Altstadt. In the afternoon, take the cog railway to the Hungerburg Mountain plateau for stunning views over the city and the Alps.

DAY 4 INNSBRUCK - KITZBUHEL - SALZBURG (3 nights)

We travel through the Alps to Sazburg, taking time for a stroll around the famous ski resort of Kitzbuhel. We will take an introductory walking tour of the heart of Salzburg after checking into our hotel.

DAY 5 SALZBURG

We will visit the Hohensalzburg Castle as well as the cathedral and Mozart's Birthplace

DAY 6 SALZBURG

A day at leisure in Salzburg

DAY 7 SALZBURG - MELK - VIENNA (3 nights)

Depart Salzburg and travel to Melk in the Wachau region of the River Danube. We will visit the famous abbey there before continuing to Vienna.

DAY 8 VIENNA

Our sightseeing in the capital today includes the Hofburg Palace, including the Spanish Riding School. We will also take in the famous paintings at the Kunthistoriches Museum.

DAY 9 VIENNA

After a visit to St. Stephen's Cathedral, with a chance to climb the spire for a magnificent view of Vienna, we will have free time for shopping. There will be a special farewell dinner tonight.

DAY 10 DEPARTURE FROM VIENNA

Transfer to the airport for the return flight to the US.
