Band of Brothers Tour
We operated this tour for a group of enthusiasts to follow Easy Comany's route across Europe from their landing in Normandy. By spending more time in some of the places we were able to visit sites such as the gun emplacements that Easy Company captured on their first engagements and the bridges in Holland that the Americans captured.
DAY 1 FLY
Depart Washington en route to Paris.
DAY 2 ARRIVE IN PARIS-NORMANDY (3 nights) (Hotel Mercure Omaha Beach if available)
Clive will meet you at the airport and you will head for either Rouen or Giverny en route for Normandy.
DAY 3 AMERICAN SECTOR
Early start this morning to visit Omaha Beach at the time of the first landings. We will study the events of D-Day with special emphasis on the Band of Brothers. Omaha Beach Cemetery at Colleville, Ste Mere Eglise Airborne Museum, Utah Beach, Ste Marie du Mont and Brécourt Manor..
DAY 4 AMERICAN SECTOR
Today we will visit Pointe du Hoc, Carentan and follow the advance to St Lo.
DAY 5 BRITISH AND CANADIAN SECTOR-PARIS (2 nights)
Today we head to Paris but before doing that we will visit sites connected with the British and Canadian assaults on D-Day. These may include Pegasus Beach, Merville Battery and Arromanches (Remains of Mulberry Harbour still visible.) and the gun emplacements at Granges-sur-Mer.
DAY 6 PARIS
I will help everybody to visit the places of their choice.
DAY 7 PARIS-RHEIMS-VERDUN-LUXEMBOURG-BASTOGNE (2 nights)
Room where the German surrender was signed in Rheims, Patton’s Grave
DAY 8 BASTOGNE AREA
Battle of the Bulge Museum, Visit other sites connected with the battle including Malmedy and St Vith.
DAY 9 BASTOGNE-EINDHOVEN-NIJMEGEN-ARNHEM (1 night)
Visit sites associated with “Hell’s Highway”
DAY 10 ARNHEM-AMSTERDAM (2 nights)
Airborne Museum, Arnhem
DAY 11 AMSTERDAM
Anne Frank’s House, Free afternoon in Amsterdam for sightseeing of your choice.
DAY12 RETURN FLIGHT FROM AMSTERDAM
