History Tours

Whether you have in mind a tour exploring battlefields, ancient history, medieval history or more modern history, we will design a tour that takes in  the places that interest you.

For battlefield tours, Northern France is probably the most popular destination as one can include visits to all or some of the sites connected with the Battle of Normandy, the Norman Conquest, the Somme, the Battle of the Bulge, Agincourt and Crecy.

To study ancient history, not surprisingly, Greece and Italy are the two favourite destinations. Rome is easily combined with sites such as Pompeii, Herculaneum and Paestum.  In Greece, highlights are Athens, Dephi, Mycaenae, Olympia, Corinth, Argos, Tiryns and Epidaurus.

Of course, all of the countries in Western Europe have a wealth of medieval historical sites.  We will be pleased to design an itinerary for you whatever your specific interest is in the medieval period.

The Renaissance was one of the most creative periods in human history and the study of it lends itself to tours of  Italy, in particular,  but also of  France, Britain and Germany.

More modern themes might include either of the World Wars, Victorian England, the Spanish Civil War, or the Fall of the Iron Curtain - the list is endless and the decision is yours.

Press "Contact Us" at the top of the page and e-mail us your ideas. We will put together a suggested itinerary for you and work closely with you until we have an itinerary that exactly meets your group's needs.
