Great Cathedrals of England This tour is designed as an introduction to some of the best of England's great cathedrals, concentrating on the ones to the west of London in addition to St.Paul's, Westminster Abbey, Rochester and Canterbury. We feel that the itinerary is of particular interest to Anglican groups and have therefore included worship on most days so that group members can experience the cathedrals as well as seeing them. Day 1 IN FLIGHT Depart for London
Day 2 ARRIVE IN LONDON – STONEHENGE - SALISBURY (3 nights) Stonehenge
Day 3 SALISBURY Old Sarum, Salisbury Cathedral (tower tour), Choral Evensong in Salisbury Cathedral
Day 4 ROMSEY AND WINCHESTER Romsey Abbey, Winchester Cathedral and castle. Choral Evensong in Winchester Cathedral
Day 5 SALISBURY - WELLS (2 nights) Bere Regis Church, Thomas Hardy’s Birthplace at Stinsford, Wells Cathedral for visit and Evensong
Day 6 GLASTONBURY AND BATH Glastonbury Abbey, Roman Baths, Bath Abbey for visit and Choral Evensong
Day 7 WELLS – OXFORD – LONDON ( 3 nights) Walking Tour of Oxford, including guided tour of Christ Church College
Day 8 LONDON Westminster Abbey, Thames boat cruise from WestminsterPier to Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Choral Evensong and visit to St.Paul’s Cathedral
Day 9 DAY TRIP TO ROCHESTER AND CANTERBURY Canterbury Cathedral and Canterbury Tales, Rochester Cathedral, Charles Dickens’ House
