Woman Holding A Balance

Art Tours

Art tours have been a speciality for us at Richardson and Gray ever since we started organising tours.

The most popular destination for art tours is France - partly because it is the home of Impressionism, partly because Paris is in France and partly, let's face it, because around almost m every corner throughout France, there is a scene begging to be painted.

Spain and Britain are also both popular destinations for art tours.

We can combine art tours with another theme such as architecture or theatre, and we often include half days for the group to paint in interesting locations. We remember with particular affection an afternoon spent painting near St.Remy de Provence where Van Gogh painted many of his best known works.  We first devoured the picnic that we had bought from the market in the town square.
