The Best of Southern England This tour is ideal for the first time visitor to England. It covers the South and Midlands of England and this helps to keep the amount of travelling down to a minimum whilst taking in many of England's "must see" sights. Day 1 IN FLIGHT Depart for London
Day 2 ARRIVE IN LONDON – OXFORD – STRATFORD AREA (2 nights) Walking Tour of Oxford, including guided tour of Christ Church College
Day 3 STRATFORD AND SURROUNDING AREA Holy Trinity Church, Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, RSC Performance in the evening
Day 4 COTSWOLDS – WELLS (3 nights) Tour of the Cotswolds with stops at various towns and villages. Lunch in a Cotswold pub.
Day 5 WELLS, GLASTONBURY AND BATH Glastonbury Abbey, Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, Wells Cathedral for Evensong
Day 6 SALISBURY AREA Stonehenge, Old Sarum, Salisbury Cathedral (tower tour), Choral Evensong in Salisbury Cathedral
Day 7 WELLS – WINCHESTER – LONDON ( 3 nights) Winchester Cathedral and castle, Jane Austen’s House
Day 8 LONDON Westminster Abbey, Thames boat cruise from WestminsterPier to Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Choral Evensong and visit to St.Paul’s Cathedral
Day 9 HALF DAY TRIP TO CANTERBURY Canterbury Cathedral, Afternoon free for shopping Theatre tickets available for evening performances
Day 10 DEPARTURE Transfer to airport for flight back home.
