PRINTEMPS IN PROVENCE This is a tour that we designed for an international school in Surrey. It combines excellent sightseeing with a chance to spend time in a French school, practicing the language and making new friends. The French students are planning to make a return visit to stay with their English friends this autumn.

Day 1 FLIGHT TO NICE Transfer from Nice to Hotel St. Roch at Avignon. Treasure hunt in pedestrian area of Avignon.
Day 2 AVIGNON Whole day visit to a local school with lessons and activities with the French students.
Day 3 AVIGNON Half
day visit to a local school with lessons and activities with the French
students. Visit to the Popes’ Palace where the Popes lived and ruled during
their exile from Rome.
Day 4 ARLES/CAMARGUE
Visit
to “La Manade des Baumelles” a typical camarguais ranch where we will see
a demonstration of how the horsemen work with the famous black bulls as well
as touring the area which is famous for its flamingos and other wildlife.
Afternoon visit to the Roman Arena in Arles – the town where Vincent Van
Gogh lived and painted
Day 5 RETURN FLIGHT Visit to the hill-top fortress and village of Les Baux en route back to
the airport at Nice
