Normandy and D-Day

This is a tour that we operated for two families with a special interest in the Normandy landings and D-Day. We also visited the Bayeux Tapestry and had time to play on the beaches,  activities that the children particularly enjoyed. They were fascinated, too, by the shell craters at Pointe d'Hoc and the gun emplacements at Merville.

Our base in Normandy was the Auberge John Steele in the village of St. Maire Eglise, the first town liberated on the morning of June 6, 1944.
