Hotels
Most tour operators book a group's hotels in
the last two weeks prior to departure. As with flights, hotel owners will
sell cheaply at the last minute rather than risk being left with empty
rooms. However, the first choice hotels do not need to do this and, by
adopting this policy, operators risk accommodating you in hotels of
inferior quality or in poor positions. Many operators also book their
hotels through agents, thus losing any personal control of the standard of
hotels.
Richardson and Gray guarantee, unless there
are exceptional circumstances, to advise you of your hotels at least eight
weeks prior to your departure date, and in most cases, considerably
earlier than that. Our quotes normally
include accommodation based on two to a room with private bathroom
facilities. We will base our quotes on three star hotels unless you
instruct us otherwise.
