Tuscany in the Spring

    This is a suggested rough itinerary for a choir from the U.K. that wanted a five day/four night trip, combining performances in beautiful ecclesiastical venues with a base in a vibrant, historic city.

    Our initial thoughts for this proposal would be to enquire about concerts at the Chiesa Santa Maria dei Ricci in Florence and other options there include the Valdesian Church, the Medici Palace the Chiesa de San Lorenzo and the Chiesa Orsanmichele. San Agostino would be a likely venue in Siena itself whilst there is a wonderful hilltop village called Cortona which has a church called Santa Domenica that is a possibility. Pisa Cathedral would be another, more imposing option.  From our initial conversation, we would also make enquiries about finding a smaller venue with a more personal welcome from the congregation.

    Admission to sights in bold are included in the tour price. Additional sights will probably be added as the requirements of the concert programme become known.

    Concerts: As you can probably imagine, we cannot book concerts immediately a group makes a tentative enquiry. However, as the tentative enquiry gradually metamorphoses into a firm booking, we will be working with the group leader to confirm the concert venues. We pride ourselves particularly on our ability to provide the best venues for our groups’ performances and we will normally have them confirmed by the time you part with your deposits.
