C.S.Lewis
C. S. Lewis was, of course, the author of the ever-popular
Narnia series of books for children, but he is also deservedly
famous for his Christian apologetics, literary criticism and science-fiction
trilogy. Lewis spent most of his adult life in Oxford where he was a
Fellow of Magdalen College and tutor of English Language and
Literature. Some of the main sites that can be visited in Oxford relating to
Lewis include Holy Trinity Church in Headington, where he is buried,
Magdalen College, and The Eagle and Child and the Lamb and Flag pubs where
Lewis's literary circle of friends, The Inklings, met every week, among
others.
