Day 1 Travel to York (6 nights)

Travel to York, either by coach if in Britain, or on a flight to Manchester, then coach transfer to York

 

Day 2 York

We will take a Walking Tour of York's medieval walls, followed by a guided tour of  York Minster.

Day 3 York

This morning we will enjoy a fascinating presentation on Roman York. This afternoon we will visit the Castle Museum and historic Clifford’s Tower.

Day 4 York and Durham

We will make a visit to Durham Castle and then take a guided tour of Durham Cathedral.

Day 5 Rievaulx and Whitby

We tour the atmospheric ruins of Rievaulx Abbey before visiting sea-side Whitby.   Here we will visit the Cook Museum.

Day 6 Chatsworth

We will visit historic Chatsworth House.  There will be afternoon shopping time in York.  Evening cinema visit .

Day 7 Departure

Transfer to airport  for return flight home, or transfer by coach.
