A Week in Ely Ely Cathedral is considered a masterpiece of medieval architecture, in particular because of its lantern tower which helps provide the interior with such a beautiful light. Ely is situated on the Isle of Ely - once, but no longer, an island in the Fens (marshes). It can consequently be seen for many miles around across the flat landscape. We accommodate choirs taking up residency here at the nearby and charming Lamb Inn which is just a stone's throw from the cathedral in the nearby town.
